Mr. Meany decided on a bath

Was a little worried when I woke up to him in his bowl.  He has never done that and I was worried about mites.  After looking him and the cage over I don't see any so I am hoping he just thought it was his hide.  I am keeping an eye on him though.

Meet Beast the mojave ball python

This is beast out mojave ball.  We are hoping she is up to size next year.  She is currently at 840 grams and smashing f/t small rats.  She is really a mellow little girl!

Meet Mr. Meany! Our Butter ball python morph.

Mr. Meany is a Butter het ghost we got to breed to out females.  He is actually the biggest of our snakes weighing in at just over 1100 grams.  He got his name because he was the first snake that tried to bite us.  K made the mistake, after being warned, if trying to handle the snake the day he came home.  He wasn't very happy about that.  Well, that was 5 months ago and now we are finally getting to the point where we handle him a bit, although he is so head shy and nervous we don't want to over stress him.  He gets a few minutes a couple of times a week now and is calming down rather well with no more strike attempts. He is really a fine example of the butter gene.

Rack project.

So we are starting up a project with the rack.  We are going to try and cover the sides with reptile related business cards. We got a good start from cards from the first show.
